Dear MSC Families and Friends,

We are ready start our Travel Teams registration process for the upcoming 2025 - 2026 season.  We will make modifications to our process this year:

•  There will not be a specific tryout date as previous years.
• All current players will be invited to be a part of an MSC team.
• New Players must register online to attend one or two practice sessions with our current teams for an evaluation.  Tryout Registration Link
• Uniforms may ONLY be ordered once you have received an invitation.  All orders are to be placed online via our soccer.com web page.  New uniforms are available to order NOW!
• Coaching slate will be sent out once teams are formed!
• Accepted players must make a deposit by May 2nd, 2025, to reserve their space on the team.

• Customers that would like to register via cash or check must contact us directly to arrange that form of payment.  Payments must be received on or prior to the due date!
• League and division placement will be determined once teams are formed, and their level is assessed.

Travel Season: Fall and Spring 2025/26

Age Groups: Boys and Girls U9 - U18

Fall: August - November 

Winter: January - February (8 Sessions)

Spring: March - May / June

Training Program:

Teams will train 2 times per week during the travel season (once January & February)

Private training and Keeper training available at an additional fee

* If I have to cancel, and will not receive a refund, what can I do?

1. Travel Teams: You child may train on multiple teams at no additional cost if similar age group teams are available and at coach's discretion (when you return to the club), otherwise, there are no refunds available, and fees MUST be paid in full.

2. ALL other programs: Apply remaining funds as a credit to another program within 6 months of cancellation.  This excludes private lessons.  Applicable programs are camps, classes, clinics, etc.  Space is not guaranteed, so please contact us at info@msclions.com for availability.

3. Customers may use their credit and make up classes within the same session.

Travel soccer is known to have a higher level of competitiveness than recreational soccer.  Any player considering making the jump to a travel team should be made aware of the following:

• Teams are led by higher level/license coaches who are deemed to have the tools to manage/guide and bring the best out of players.
• Travel soccer requires a high level of commitment.
• Coaching demands are much higher as players are expected to execute more complex activities. 
• Training sessions will focus on: technique, tactics, movement, coordination, finishing, game management, speed, agility and more.
• Players will receive the most development trough training.
• Players are expected to attend all training session.
• Playing time is not guaranteed and players are expected to work hard at every training session to be considered for a starting position. 
• Players looking to play in college and beyond should seriously consider joining a traveling team.
• You will be required to try out and will be placed on a team according to ability.
• Rules are generally more closely related to high school and college soccer in the older age groups.
